-- The clouds were grey, their extra weight evident. It was going to rain. It was going to storm. Anyone could see it. That was why the beach was empty. Well almost empty. The waves were crashing violently on the shore and the winds were blowing roughly. Somewhere in the sand was a girl. She sat on the sand her hood had been blown of her head so many times she had given up on it, and for one her face was clearly visible. The wind was blowing her long veil of hair off her face, making it dance behind her. But for once she didn’t care. She was alone. There was no one too see her.
-- Curling her toes, she enjoyed the feeling of the small grains of sand under her toes. She had stretched her legs out and was supporting her self on her arms. Her shoes were beside and for once she felt free. She felt relaxed and not so afraid. Maybe it was because she was alone. But she hadn’t felt this safe in ages. For once she wasn’t curled up arms around herself trying to hold herself together. She was having good day. She knew deep down though, that it was only because no one else was there. No one looking at her.
-- Suddenly there was a loud band of thunder and it felt like the clouds had ripped open. It was as though the rain had been poured out of buckets over her. She was immediately soaked. Her hair was plastered to her skull, her sweatshirt was soaked and beginning to stick to her, her jeans clung to very inch of her legs and her feet was plastered in wet sand. The water droplets felt cold on her skin, yet she didn’t move. She didn’t even think of getting up. She was, well not happy, but more at peace then ever here. She wasn’t going to get up unless there was lightning; she supposed she would have to then.
-- She let out a content sigh and closed her eyes and leaned her head back, letting the rain pour directly over her face. It was soothing; now all she needed to do was just stopping thinking, stop letting the memories play over and over in her mind.
